Release policy

From finished build to verifiable release record.

A record is published only after the installer has been produced, hashed and signed. Every field maps to a value that can be checked against the file on disk.

  1. 01

    Build

A platform-specific installer is produced for its target architecture.

  2. 02

    Hash

A SHA-256 checksum is computed directly from the finished installer.

  3. 03

    Sign

The installer receives a detached OpenPGP signature from the release key.

  4. 04

    Publish

Filename, architecture, checksum, signature and fingerprint are published together.

Verify every installer before running it.

Compare the exact filename, SHA-256 checksum, OpenPGP signature and signing fingerprint with the values computed from the file on disk. If any value differs, do not run the installer.
